Fasting does not prevent us from observing Javan slow lorises, because observations are carried out at night and begin after we pray tarawih. So thankfully, it does not interfere with our worship time! One of the observations was also carried out until the morning before dawn, so we made a meal at the field. Many fun things that we can still do during Ramadhan here, such as sharing food with the trackers at dawn together or more precisely the trackers that gives us food for pre-dawn meal in the early weeks of fasting, breaking the fast together at Bang Rahmat’s house (one of the tracker that works at LFP), cooking together to eat the pre-dawn meal and break the fast, wake each other up when it’s time for the pre-dawn meal (especially for me) and respecting of some people who are not fasting.
When Ramadan has ended, we arrived to welcome the Eid Al-Fitr. The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic was worrying for us to pray together, because this worship is only done once a year. But the local government gave permission for the implementation of Eid Al-Fitr prayers with several health protocols when going to enter the mosque such as using masks, cleaning hands with a hand sanitizer and checking body temperature. I am grateful that the implementation went well and in an orderly manner.

This is a moment that will not be easy to forget, because without realizing it, I had passed the month of Ramadan with loved ones. Thank you for the happiness and warmth that is always given, so that even though Ramadan this time is far from our family, we still feel happy and happy to be able to worship.
